Aconteceu ontem(28) na O2 Arena em Londres, a entrega do aguardado Shockwaves NME Awards 2008, prêmio da tradicional revista britânica New Musical Express. O grande vencedor foi o Arctic Monkeys com o 3 prêmios, melhor banda britânica, melhor faixa com ‘Fluorescent Adolescent’ e melhor vídeo com o clipe ‘Teddy Picker’ dirigido por Roman Coppola. Na categoria melhor banda internacional, o prêmio acabou ficando com o The Killers.
